A Cinquain Poem About Turtles

This is my Cinquain poem about turtles. A cinquain poem is a poem that doesn't always rhyme. I wrote about turtles because when I first saw them they were cute and I felt like writing about them. Turtles hide under their shell so they can protect themselves. A cinquain poem has 5 lines and you need to describe your title.

Awesome presentation Mary. I can see that you have learned to use the correct language and structure for a cinquain poem. When you write about something your interested in it makes your learning enjoyable. Turtles are very interesting animals. Well done!

Hi Mary,

My name is Madeleine, and I live in Canada. I really enjoyed reading your blog! Your cinquain poem is amazing, it's the best cinquain I've ever seen! I also like turtles. This poem reminded me of Haiku, have you ever seen that? Haiku is a beautiful type of poem that, given your proficiency in cinquain poems, I think you'd be very good at. I love your writing style, it is so free and artistic! Keep on writing, and have an amazing day!
