Powhiri

Last week Thursday we had a Powhiri with the whole school, it was quiet and exciting, we also sang some songs that were in Maori. Some teachers did a speech about their own personality and more. The most funny bit to me is that all the teachers and the principle had to hongi, but that day was pretty fun for me.

Making Hot Cakes With Mrs Tuipoloto !

On the first Wednesday when I moved to Mrs Tuipoloto's class for baking and cooking, I went with a St. Pius girl named Lini. We were listening to Mrs Tuipoloto about how hot cakes were made.

After she finished explaining, we grabbed all our equipment and ingredients. Lini and I began to make it. When we finished getting it out of the oven we squirted some chocolate Hershey syrup on our hot cakes and then took a photo. I really enjoyed that day with Mrs Tuipoloto, I hope we do more of this next time.
